We are delighted to announce the launch of our new office within the Nihonbashi Life Science Building (LSB) in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, on December 1, 2017.

Having long history and tradition in herbal medicine dealers since the Edo Period, this location has headquarters of pharmaceutical-related companies. Considering the cultural background and advantages of this area, Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. (Mitsui Fudosan) decided to build an ecosystem^*1 to create innovation in the life science field, such as drug discovery, regenerative medicine, medical equipment, healthcare and IT, and established the Nihonbashi Life Science base which includes LSB, LSB2, and Nihonbashi Life Science Hub. For enhancement of the base to promote the creation of new industries, it has recently opened a shared office floor on the fifth floor of LSB, as a part of its Nihonbashi life science innovation promotion project in collaboration with Life Science Innovation Network Japan Inc. (LINK-J).

The base currently has about 30 companies and other entities as tenants, and around 110 members use it as a place for innovation, promoting people-to-people and technical exchanges.

In recognition of our achievements as a healthcare appliance manufacturer by being ISO 13485 certified with Class II medical devices manufacturing and retails license ^*2, we're honored to receive an offer to move into this base. We will utilize this base to collect information related to life science, to plan the ecosystem development that the Nihonbashi life science project seeks, and to look for publicity and promote recruitment activities of our company.

*2: JOHNAN Machinery & Healthcare Appliance Company (MHA) attained International Standards Organization 13485: 2003 (ISO 13485: 2003) certification and Class II License

We will continue to serve as a business accelerator by supporting our clients with development and mass manufacturing of device/equipment in the life science field where the customer needs are expected to increase further.
