On Friday, August 17, 2020, the 3rd holding of the Workgroup for Kyoto-Born-and-Raised Ventures over a Century, on the theme of DNA of Beauty, Collaboration and Innovation, which will also comprise the 2nd term of the Research and Promotion of Kyoto Valley for Manufacturing and Innovation (JOHNAN) for the Graduate School of Management, Kyoto University, will be livestreamed on YouTube.

On this occasion, Masataka Hosoo of Hosoo Co., Ltd., a store with a 1200-year-long tradition located in Nishijin-Ori in Kyoto, will be invited as a guest lecturer, speaking on the theme of "DNA of Beauty, Collaboration and Innovation."

As an entrepreneur, Mr. Hosoo will be talking live from a physical store about the traditional technology of Nishijin and Kyoto, his approach to "beauty" that he has personally cultivated, how he is driven by his encounters with people around the world to create innovative businesses one after another, and also the mechanism of Kyoto's ecosystem. Mitsuyo Yamamoto will also participate in the discussion.

This symposium is one of the activities of the Research and Promotion of Kyoto Valley for Manufacturing and Innovation (JOHNAN) Seminar.
We will continue to actively participate in this initiative and provide manufacturing services in Kyoto, a city combining tradition and innovation.
