The 2nd symposium of Kyoto Valley for Manufacturing and Innovation will be held in the Clock Tower Centennial Hall of Kyoto University on February 8, 2020.
Mitsuyo Yamamoto will participate in a panel discussion on the theme of "Building a Startup Ecosystem—Creating a City where Ventures Are Born and Raised over a Century." This symposium is one of the activities of the Research and Promotion of Kyoto Valley for Manufacturing and Innovation (JOHNAN) Seminar.
This course was established with the aim of realizing a world-acclaimed Kyoto Valley for Manufacturing and Innovation in the near future.
The main purpose is to provide research, education and enlightenment for Kyoto's local development, and to provide consistent manufacturing support for new product development from trial production to mass production on a global scale.
Our goal is to achieve an "industrial ecosystem" focusing on development and business promotion, which should include the design and trial of new businesses, include product realization, incubation and acceleration. It should operate on a global scale, but also in a form suited to Kyoto itself.
We are promoting practical research activities in collaboration with organizations and businesses while learning from the global industrial ecosystem represented by Silicon Valley in the United States.
We will continue to actively participate in providing manufacturing services in Kyoto, a city with a history of tradition and innovation, to fulfill the main purpose of this symposium, established in April 2017.
